NEW CHANGE OF THE DATES FOR ITALIAN OPEN FW CHAMPIONSHIPS

We inform all competitors that 2009 Italian Open FW Championships, postponed last May after the tragical death of Davide Beverino, have been rescheduled again and so they are anticipated and will be raced from Thursday October 22th to Sunday October 25th always at Windsurfing Club Cagliari, Sardinia. According to Beverino family the Championships will be dedicated to the memory of our unforgettable friend Davide. In the next weeks the relevant Notice of Race. Since now you are all invited to join this event and we hope many foreign competitors will travel to Cagliari next October.

15:43 | AP over A. The Festival is ended. Today we had no races due the lack of wind. so the score stays as it was. The new worldchampions.............. Master: Martin Ervin and Youth: Jules Denel.

13:44 | another day like yesterday- the youth were called to the water , but the race was postponed before the start as the wind dropped below the minimum required.

18:08 | AP over A - no more racing today. The thermic breeze is dying. Tghere will be some anxious sailors tonight , particularly in the youth fleet where only one point seperates first and third.
The forecast is not great for tomorrow , although the locals claim the thermic breeze could easily double the predicted windspeed.

22:09 | sorry for the lack of report on last race of masters - but martin is having a fantastic regatta !
full results are now posted. Tomorrow is a rest day - which is good , as tonight there is a party, BBQ and live band at the beach !
With plenty for the competitors to see and do in cadiz - tomorrow will still be a busy day.
Racing will resume on friday with so much still to be decided in all fleets

00:55 | Hi - and apologies for the slow start to this reporting. Registration is finished and racing starts tomorrow for over 90 competitors here in Puerto de Santa Maria, on the Bay of Cadiz.
Good winds are forecast - as is normal here during the summer.
Some small changes to the SI's have been prepared and the course to be sailed on day is published on the ONB.
Tune in tomorrow to follow the racing - a full competitor list will soon be available and a forecast on the sailors looking for podium finishes.
