I would like to make you aware of the FW European Championships 2012 which will take place in Westerland/Sylt (Germany) from May 16th to 20th.
Now that the South American Championship comes to end in 2012, the next event of the Formula Windsurfing World ranking and the first event of the new European Cup 2012, comes to Portugal - ALQUEVA - MONSARAZ / IBERIAN CUP 2012, from 28 of April to 01 May of 2012.
The 2012 Iberian Cup will be hosted by Centro Nautico, Alqueva Lake, Monsaraz from 28th April to 1st May.

The Kashy Fins Windsurfing Festival – WET Spring Regatta will be held April 20-22 in Yorktown, VA
Once again, we had great conditions up at the lake. Race committee decided to do two races and leave two more races for the last day tomorrow (saturday).
As we all arrived up at lake Potrerillos, we could feel it was going to be a cold day.
The wind was blowing early, but around noon it backed of a bit and we were on hold until 1pm, by 1:30pm we started the first race.
We had two days so far for the south americans.
Organization has been great and we are close to 40 competitors from Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil.
After 2 days and 8 races in the 2012 South American Formula Windsurfing Championships, Gonzalo Costa Hoevel (ARG3) leads from Paulo dos Reis (BRA3333) and Wilhelm Schurmann (BRA999).
The conditions both days were similar, wind between 10 and 18 knots. Gonzalo is very fast, has won all the races, then Paulo and the rest.
Tomorrow and the rest of the days are expected the same conditions.
Potrerillos is proving to be ideal for these competitions !
