The formula windsurfing fleet were eventually able to complete 2 races on day 4.
The location for the 2014 Downunder Pro Formula Windsurfing Championships is back on Botany Bay in Sydney. One of the glamour locations for Sydney windsurfing and suitable in all directions of wind; this is one of Australia’s premier racing locations.

After a long wait for the SE winds to come in the racers head out on the water at 1700 for three races back to back in 8-13kts.
A very competitive fleet is assembled in Buenos Aries for the 2013 Formula South American Championships; with 33 competitors from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Peru and Latvia. After yesterdays, and today's, early morning registration, we head into the water at 1400 hs with a nice breeze from the E-SE from 8-13 kts
but two new events in 2014 Euro Cup calendar:
May 27 > June 1 – Rollei Summer Opening, Sylt, Germany
July 22 > 27 – Volvo Surf Cup, Sylt, Germany
No broken gear this year and I think everybody had a good time.

The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has published an urgent change to rule B3.31 of the Racing Rules of Sailing. The change will be effective from 1 January 2014.
The urgent rule change was authorized during the ISAF Annual Conference in Oman as permitted by ISAF Regulation 28.1.2.

The race is this Sunday, 12/08/13. The wind has been blowing early so the skipper’s meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday at the shore in front of the launch area, about 100 yards north of the parking lot. There will be some time to finish rigging after the skipper’s meeting with a target race start at 9:30 a.m
