We can inform you that Azores Airlines support the event with the offer of transportation of equipment for free (boards + Sails) as excess baggage or as cargo if they exceed the dimensions accepted at check-in.
If the equipment needs to be sent separately as cargo, in this case the SATA exempt the freight costs, leaving the passenger responsible only for airport taxes. This support applies to athletes travelling to the Azores for Formula Windsurfing Worlds, with Azores Airlines.
In order to give follow up with the issue of permits for the transport of equipment, we ask you to send to Azores Airlines information on the dimensions x weight x number and volumes with the booking code that is associated. We ask that athletes upon contact with the reservations department, to effect the passenger reservation also make the reservation of the equipment, so they do not happen constraints at the time of check-in for lack of cargo transportation availability.
