Today was the first day of the fantastic event CAMPOFRIO VIANA FW 2014. Some competitor´s start to arrive since Wednesday this week, to be relaxed for the event and also to know better the place, normally in this time of the year in Viana is sunshine and wind from NW, that is very good and is a clean wind.
The confirmation of registration was between 10.00 am and 13.00 pm, all the competitors start in that time to prepare everything, the lycra and the stickers of the major sponsor CAMPOFRIO.
In the end of the registration we have 33 competitors, from 3 countries (Portugal, Spain and Lithuania) and also divided in several groups Youth, Senior, Master, GMasters, Veteran and Ladies.
We had for this first day 4 races, with winds between 18knots and 23 knots, very good winds for Formula Windsurfing, the course was placed in a mix between inside the harbour and outside, that was very good because was a great tactic race and also very good for all the people that were in the beach see all the race, because the start and finish was very close to the beach.
Miguel Martinho is in the first place with 3 bullets and Fernando Martinez in second place with one bullet, this two guys are very fast but the rest of the fleet are looking for some mistake of each one.
Tomorrow will be another day with more 4 races, the forecast is good, with a little less wind, lest see.
