Eight races completed in the Latvian Baltic Cup and it could not have been a closer finished.
Valentin Brault (FRA) just took out local hot shot Janis Preiss (LAT) by the narrowest of margins – 0.7 pts !
A win in the final race of the day sealed it for Valentin who also consolidated his lead in the 2013 European Cup overall rankings.
A chasing pack of younger riders – Sebastian Kornum (DEN), Wojtek Mroczynski (POL), John Kaju (EST) – and Estonian champion Martin Ervin, fought hard for the final podium place; Sebastian with a win in race 7 just edged it, with the other three each finishing on 27pts.
