Yesterday, on 29th of June in Tallinn, Pirita held the second competition day. First half of the day and afternoon wind speed was only enough for Race board and Techno 293 windsurfing classes. Formula windsurfers and kite surfers waited patiently for the wind to get stronger. Eventually, at 19 :30 in the evening Formula class (with all together 48 participants) and Kiteboard went to run 3 races.

The favorite for the Formula windsurfing race was the current world ranking and Euro Cup leader Valentin Brault (FRA 823). Yet, after the first race the Frenchman had to admit Estonian Martin Ervin’s (EST 202) superiority. The men had a close fight (in the second and third races) and ended up with the 4-point score difference to Martin Ervin`s favor. Martin Ervin about the competition: “Two days waiting but it was so worth it! During the evenings surfing is something quite extreme, especially for our foreign visitors – in the world there is not just a lot of venues that have the last race stop at half past ten in the evening. The feeling is great! Now it`s time to have a rest and hope to succeed again on Sunday”.

NeilPryde Baltic Cup current leader Latvian Janis Preiss (LAT 23) didn`t find his form during the first race, finishing in 8th position. In the second and third races, however, he was able to use his tactics and get moving with the wind. By the end of the day 4th place for Janis. Thus, top three of the Formula class ranking was as follows: I Martin Ervin (EST 202), II Valentin Brault (FRA 823), III John Kaju (EST 24).
