With strong offshore winds forecast the decision was made to run all races back to back. By the time the racers got back to the beach at 19.30 four races had been completed.

The final race of the day was completed in winds gusting 35 knots ! It was a day of mixed fortunes for Aussies – Steve Allen and Sean O’Brien.

Steve (AUS0) , despite a 5th in race 1 , finished the day with 3 bullets and a comfortable lead over second placed Wojtek Brozozowski (POL10), who is just ahead of Hubert Mokrzycki (POL25) on a tie break.

Sean (AUS120) started well with a 7th in race one – then disaster struck! A broken fin , and desperate hunt for a replacement , meant he missed two races, only to crash too many times in race 4 and record a dnf !

Over in the womens fleet is was a dominating start for Agnieszka Pietrasik (POL19) recording 3 first places – no fourth race was held for them. it is too close to call for 2nd to 4th positions.

A total of 36 men and 7 women have entered this years championship – representing 5 countries.
