14:26 | The wind has stayed around 5 knots – it does not look hopeful !

12:20 | The wind is now 5/6 knots on the course – maybne we will get some racing today if it continues to build.

11:53 | Also happening over the weekend the SIM championship – a student event, with four clubs competing for prizes in 4 categories. They may be novice racers , but also very enthusiastic, and proves it is not too late to start competitive windsurfing when you attend college or university

11:50 | Conditions have improved – the wind is less patchy and is over the whole course area , but still light.

11:24 | The last possible warning signal is at 16.30 – so plenty of time yet. The Windsurfing Association of Singapore cannot be faulted for their organisation and have looked after the competitors very well.

11:22 | The final day of these asian Championships – and the forecast is not good. An overnight storm cleared the air but left us becalmed this morning .The wind has just stasrted to pick up – but not yet in the right direction !
