NeilPryde Baltic Cup 2010 final event in Tallinn started with no wind. The most important windsurfing event on the Baltic Sea has been attracted windsurfers already for 12 years. In 2010 there has been ca 60 competitors and 52 of them are competing in Tallinn.
The weather forecast for Friday morning was not good – 0-2 m/s. Better wind conditions were predicted for the afternoon. Unfortunately, the conditions stayed unchanged, so no races were held and the windsurfers from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Poland and Estonia just enjoyed the sunny Estonian weather and got prepared for the next 2 days.
Neilpryde Baltic Cup 2010 ranking is very tight before the final event. Leader, last year`s winner and the fresh Nordic champion Martin Ervin EST 202 (Starboard/Neilpryde) is followed by 4 times winner of NeilPryde Baltic Cup Janis Preiss LAT 23 (Gaastra), only 1 point separating them.
Weather forecast for tomorrow is promising – 8-9 m/s from southwest. The first possible start is at twelve o`clock.
