The highs and lows of competition….

Congratualtions to Antoine Albeau (FRA192) and Marta Hlavaty (POL111) – 2010 Formula Windsurfing World Champions.

Antoine sealed his 3rd formula world title with a first place in race 14. Marta dominated this years championship by winning all but two of the 14 races to date.

Although he did not have his best day Paulo Dos Reis (BRA3333) did enough to confirm his 2nd place overall.

However, 4 riders are competing for the final place on the podium. Steve Allen’s (AUS0) late charge puts him back in contention – a first and third today mirrored his results on day 1 of the competition. Ross Williams (GBR83) and Pawel Hlavaty (POL11) traded places in todays races – and also in the overall results.

Casper Bouman (NED52) may regret the collision with POL25 in race 14 , but the redress given by the jury keeps him in contention for third place overall.

One more race to follow tomorrow and a lot still at stake !

The Governor of Mendoza will be present to witness the final action in this years championship.
