A new Formula windsurfing class has been added to the Highland Spring HIHO 2008 event. In addition, the event has been added to the US Windsurfing National Racing Tour of events. The Formula class will compete under IFWA guidelines and will be designated as a long distance event. Formula racers will benefit from separate starts and finishes, though there will be occasions where they may start en-masse with the rest of the fleet.

“Formula racing through the British Virgin Islands in the Highland Spring HIHO event will be thrilling,” states event operator Andy Morrell of Ocean Promotions Ltd. “This will rank as a great week of Formula racing.”
Racers from the Virgin islands & Florida have already expressed interest in attending.
