The Formula Windsurfing Grand Prix Portimão will take place from April 30th to May 5th 2007. The Overpower Club wants to support the competitors coming from abroad and offers 50% of 6 days of accommodation support for the first 50 foreign competitors if they register before April 5th and book themselves in the villas mentioned above. This way competitors can get a accommodation for less then 12 Euros per night!
The event takes place at “Praia do Alvor” where you also find the official event hotel “Hotel D.João II”. The event hotel is a nice 4**** resort straight at the beach. The hotel will host the complete event including race office and accommodation for the competitors. The City Hall of Portimão will provide a free transfer of competitors and their equipment from Faro Airport to the venue and back at the end of the event so that nobody will need a car for the Formula Windsurfing Grand Prix Portimão.
Competitors looking for a cheap place to stay during the event can book themselves in the villas of the Hotel D.João II. These are nice small houses in the park of the hotel which offer place for five to seven people. If there are no villas left for all competitors registered until 5th Overpower Club will refund these competitors with 72,00 Euros.
