The shore-break brings up memories to the Ceara 2001 Formula Windsurfing worlds here in Fortaleza where a lot of surfers where caught in the shore-break. This year we are going afloat from the small harbour of the Marina Park Hotel so no shore-break……

Registration is now under way and talking to the locals they all predict a great future for 15 year old Gabriel “Oliveira” Browne (BRA 50). Last week he already won one of the 10 national FW races, beating the “Shurminater” Wilhelm Shurmann. He is the younger brother of Marcilio Browne who since 2003 is active on the PWA wave tour and actually standing 10th in the PWA year ranking. Windsurfing seems to be part of the family…… One more rooky to look after…….

Racing is scheduled for tomorrow 10 a clock and 20.000 dollar to be distributed among the top 16 racers.
