Here is a reminder of the qualification requirements as published in the 2005 World Ranking System :
For the IFWC World Championships the current FW World Champion is qualified by right. Each FW Continental Championship (Europeans, South Americans etc.) gives 5 places to the competitors from this continent (example: Only Europeans can win slots at the Europeans). Every paid up FW association country has one starting slot by right. The remaining (approx. 60) starting slots will be allocated to the best not yet qualified competitors based on the FW World Ranking.
The list of sailors qualified through the Continentals has been published .
National Windsurfing Associations have been contacted for details of their ‘by right’ nominated sailor .
If you are either of these categories you should enter now -as QUALIFIED .
Any sailor currently listed in the TOP 100 of the World Ranking is also invited to complete an entry – as QUALIFIED .
All other sailors wanting to enter the event should complete an entry as soon as possible – as WILDCARD .
You can PRE –ENTER on line via the IWA website . You are not expected to pay , but it is vital you indicate your intention to enter .
Closing date for pre entry is 30th September ; after that date the available spaces will be handed down to Wildcard Pre Entries .
