If you are travelling to the event by vehicle here are some directions to help you find the race site .
Steamer Point is at the end of Seaway Avenue , which is in a residential area between Christchurch and Highcliffe.
Directions:
Once you reach Christchurch, you need to follow the by-pass (A35) towards Lymington.; or you may be approaching from Southampton and Lyndhurst via the A35.
These two converge at a large roundabout on the outskirts of Christchurch; go straight over into Highcliffe Road (if on the by pass from Christchurch ) or turn left into it if approaching from Lyndhurst .
Follow it to the next roundabout, turn right into The Runway. Third on left into Bure Lane (sign posted the coastguard station), 4th on right into Seaway Avenue.
Continue to the sea, camping area through gate on right hand side.
BE WARNED: if you look at a map, you CANNOT turn right into Bure Lane from the Lymington road, if you come from Christchurch, although you can turn left into it if you are travelling from Lymington.
