Dear competitors ,
Not long now to the start of the 2004 World Championships .Some of you are already in Leba training and preparing for the most important regatta of the year ; others will be arriving over the weekend .
You can reduce the “stress ” of the registration process and simplify your pre race days by being prepared .
A reminder has already been posted regarding the need to bring proof of 3rd party liability insurance to registration .
You will need to complete and sign an official Entry Form .If you entered on line you will not have completed this essential form .You can download a form , attached to the Notice of Race ,and bring the completed form to registration.
If you are under 18 you must complete Parental Consent and Medical Treatment Permission forms – sorry about the extra paperwork !
It is essential you complete an Equipment Registration form . Please take time to fill out the form completely and correctly . Event Measurers will mark all the equipment , but you should complete the form yourself , paying particular attention to entering the boards unique serial number ; and when possible the serial numbers of sails and fins marked by the manufacturers .Submitting incomplete forms will inevitably mean moving to the back of the queue.!!
Equipment Inspectors ( EI’s-measurers) will pay particular attention to sail insignia-which must be on both sides of the sail , of the correct size , clearly legible , and use the correct 3 letter country code . ! The colour of the insignia must contrast strongly with the body of the sail .
It is the intention of the EI’s to check the equipment of leading competitors during the regatta ; this may mean comparing a random sample of similar boards from the fleet . Every effort will be made to minimise the inconvenience caused ; but it is mandatory that you comply with the EI ‘s instructions .
Sailing instructions will be issued to competitors . Howvever , much of the information you need is contained in the Championship Rules which are published on the formula website .. They will be published on the Official Notice Board , but not circulated to each competitor .
