Skippers meeting was at 12pm and it was looking like we were going to have some pretty good racing conditions. They decided to race a butterfly course

with three tight jibes right against the beach. Good action for the spectators but not so much fun with the formula gear.

Race #1 I went port tack start with arnon and we cleared the whole fleet and went straight the the layline and tacking to the mark with Arnon rounding 1st with me 2nd and Andrea 3rd, with Ross and Jesper following. positions remained the same till the downwind mark where Arnon rounded the mark the wrong way which dropped him out of the lead. My forearms were killing me and I was barely able to sheet in on the second upwind. Andrea passed me like a freight train and then I double tacked the windward to drop to 3rd behind Ross. Luckily for us Andrea sailed to the wrong finish line.

Race #2 once again I started port with most of the other guys. Andrea, Marco, Jamie and I had a good start and headed for the layline. Andrea and Marco tacked way to early and missed the mark by a ways. I went all the way to the layline and tacked to round in 2nd behind Ross who after starting port had tacked to the inside and caught some good lifts. I quickly passed Ross on the downwind. rounding the leeward was me with Ross and then Andrea. Andrea powered pass Ross and then almost passed me but I was just able to hold him off with hurting forearms once again.

We took a good long lunch break and then headed back for 2 more races.

Race #3 the wind was getting much gustier and shiftier. Arnon and I started port hoping to cross the fleet and then tack to the beach but we ended ducking most

of the fleet and losing a bit of ground. We rounded the windward with Ross still racing very well in first Brian 2nd Arnon 3rd Jamie 4th and me 5th with Andrea right behind. I managed to pass almost everyone and come back to 2nd at the leeward. everyone tacked to the beach and it became a duel to see who could catch the lifts off of the beach. I didn’t make out so well coming to windward in 6th right behind Brian. Andrea had gone to the beach once and then went all the way outside and made out huge as the wind shifted over to his side, coming from 6th to 1st at windward. He just missed the downwind jibe mark and dropped to 2nd with Ross taking first again. I was able to pass Brian in the jibe and take 5th.

Race #4 the wind had gotten very light and shifty and just started to fill back in with less than two minutes in sequence. I went port at the boat and had a collision with Marco which completely nocked me out of the race. I came to wind ward in last and didnt make up to much. Ross was still on fire with his third bullet of the day.
