Blowing like hell!!!

Today it was blowing like hell in the Bay of Golden Beach Paros. The wind reached up to ver 40 knots! – No chance for formula racing. But it was no problem. Today was only registration day at the Windsurfing Euro-Cup Paros. Already 30 competitors have done their registration. Many racers took the chance and rented slalom and freestyle equipment from the sunwind station of the local organizer Theo Fisilianis. Steve Allen tried to go out once with racing equipment. It was a very short attempt and very soon the boys welcomed him back at the beach.

At 20:30 we will have the opening ceremony at the beach bar “Chipie Chipie” next to the station. there we have also built up the race office.

For tomorrow the forecasts are still predicting strong wind. We hope that it will not be too strong for competitions. The skippers Meeting is set for 10:00 and the first start for 11:00. So return tomorrow for great action from Paros!
