Second race weekend of the Dutch National Championship series.

On the 31 of May the second race weekend of the Dutch National champion series was planned on the “Grevelingendam” the home spot of Ben van der Steen.

Because the “Grevelingendam” is located near Belgium, this race was combined with the Belgium National champion series, so a huge fleet all together.

While Ben was in Italy together with Pieter and Roy, the rest of the Dutch and Belgium racers where waiting for wind in the shade of a few trees with temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees. On sunday, how occasionally, at the end there was no race sailed and Ben keeps his number one ranking in the Dutch National Champion.

Third race weekend of the Dutch National Championship series.

On the 7 of June the third race weekend of the Dutch National champion series was planned in Almere, the home spot of our current national champion Ron Ruiter.

On this day the whether services forecasted some wind, and on three o clock the wind was a light 8 to 10 knots. Just enough to plane.

Because the wind was not constant enough with wind holes of 5 knots the first race of the day was changed to a fun race after the start. In the second race held this day Ramses Landman won before Ron Ruiter and Adrie Keet. The first race with results. The third race of the day was unfortunately changed to fun race because of a wind dip witch stayed to long.

Ramses is the winner of this third weekend of the Dutch National champion series and Ben is still leading the Dutch National Champion with four wins and this one race as discard. Ben gambled with his trip to Italy and Portugal and he was lucky.

The next race weekend will be on 5 and 6 July in Hargen (a small town 30 minutes from Amsterdam by the North see)
