It was definetely not a dream windsurfing with 12C, rain and gusty offshore winds. We started two races, but the conditions were good enough only for one. I can’t believe July can be so cold. With a flue caught last week in Leba, during Polish Funboard Nationals I feel quite tired just from walking on the heavy, wet sand on the beach, not to mention racing.
I was really lucky to win first race. Lucy Horwood made fatal mistake on the second upwind and overlaid the mark by miles, I took that chance and won by few meters. Men had few general recalls. Luckily the course was set very close to the beach, so we could come back ashore quickly. A lthough it was warmer to stay on the water sailing than sitting on the beach. We were waiting till late in wetsuits, cold and misarable.
It’s not kind of windsurfing Girls like to do. I miss sun…
