Three course races were completed today in challenging SE winds gusting over 30 knots. Throughout each race there were wipeouts galore with most of the fleet getting drilled at some stage during the day! Many who were on 11.0’s or bigger in the first race changed down to 9.8’s or 9.0’s for the second race. Each race consisted of three laps with a top and bottom mark. The top mark was brought downwind slightly for the 2nd and 3rd races, leaving an action packed 3rd race in the first beat upwind with the majority of the pack starting on port tack and laying the top mark on that tack.

Micah Buzianis led the pack for most of the races, with the exception of one race where Gareth Wood with massive angles off the wind lead him round the top and bottom marks into the 2nd lap. Gareth and Clayton notched up a gear in the second race to come 2nd and 3rd behing Micah.
