The wind was offshore in the morning. At 11 they send us to the water with 8 knots to the zone A ( there are three zones of racing). We got there and the wind die. The conditions were very shifty wind from 5 to 10 konts with a swell coming from the side. We were from 11 to 4 in the afternoon in the water, so every body is quite tired.
After one hour we had the first start as the wind stabilaze a little bit. First oine was generall recall, but second one we had a clean start. I took the lead after the start and one three races form the day.
The first race was a battle for the second position by Ricardo PER-1, Paulo BRA-333 and Nico PER-2(young kid from Peru). He took in the end the second position after taking advantage of a last shift in the last upwind. Third was Paulo and fourth Ricardo.
Second race the start was clean and Paulo got closer to me at the beging until in second upwing I run away. the wind die a little bit near the beach. Paulo second, Nico third and Ricardo fourth.
The wind changed in the last race to the sea and the strategy changed a lot. after starting on the pin end in both first races, me and Ricardo started on the boat and tacked straight away to the sea. The first steps Ricardo was leading after a very good start. In the end of of the first upwind I managed to take a shift and run away. TRicardo was steady in all the race finishing on 2 and Paulo on third quite behind us. Nico fall on the start and finished 4 on a very good come back. On the women Valeria won three races and in Formula Experience Oliver won them all.
Tomorrow we start at 11 again. Everything is going very good. the organazation is taking good care of us, with water, Cyclone, fruits in the water and we had marvelous open ceremony with traditional dance of Peru.
