Hi Everyone, I send you a little report of the national event.
We had the national event last weekend, 1-3 November. It was a three day event held in Buenos Aires, in Peru Beach windsurfing Club. We had competitors from different parts of Argentina. Races were done on light wind conditions. StarBoard and NeilPryde had a popular assistance as most of the fleet was on the X186 and NP RS. The X186 got the top five positions after we had 7 races in wind going from 7 to 13 knots. I won 5 of the 7 being beaten by “Fisu” Barzzizza A-52 (Neilpryde/Starboard) who was battleling for the second place with the experienced Raul Saubidet ARG-0 (Neilpryde/Starboard), which beat me in the other one.
On the fourth position finished my brother Rodrigo Costa Hoevel ARG13 (Neilpryde/Starboard) which had very good first upwinds but then let me pass as a good old brother! On the fifth place we got Julio Saubidet, which got steady 5 places during the event.The event happened at the same time as the National Mistral Championship.
We were happy to share with them and most of them will soon try our disipline. The event was sponsored by the biggest local store Hard Wind, by Quilmes (beer) and Peru Beach. We are training now for the Southamerican on Peru in December, best regards, Gonzalo.
