AGM update – foil mast length and board registration

Please see below an update concerning matters raised at the class AGM.

Foil mast length

The 2020 Class AGM approved submission 4 Limiting foil dimensions – mast. The limit was established as 1000mm.

It has come to our attention that foil masts on the market at this moment in many cases exceed this limit and therefore this rule would have negative impact on our competitors.

This rule will be therefore revisited at our next AGM in 2021, before it can take effect.

Board registration pricing

Following the request from manufacturers to reduce the pricing of FWC board registration the class has addressed the issue with World Sailing and I am happy to confirm that the World Sailing Board has agreed to reduce the price from 600GBP to 300GBP per board registration starting Jan 1st 2022.
