Ceri Williams, acting chairman, welcomed delegates and observers to the meeting. Apologies were received from the chairman and other members of the committee, who had recorded their votes by email.

2) Minutes from the last meeting and any matters arising
No matters arising.
3) Chairman’s Report
Apologies from the Chairman, unable to attend for personal reasons. Francesco wished everyone a constructive meeting, and remained committed to the wellbeing of the Class.
4) Financial Statement
The chairman reminded members of the Annual accounts published on IWA website; and 2017 could soon be found online. 2017 had been a difficult year, but the inclusion of foiling formula was a positive for the future.
5) Class Rules
(a) Limit to sizes foils (mast. fuselage and wings). No fixed dimensions are proposed, only the principle of “limitations”.

Note – it was generally agreed that further limitations would be needed in the future after a further period of development.
(c) Limit two front wings and two back wings per event.

6) Championship Rules
(a) Amend Age divisions and add veteran:
2.2.3 Senior (E) is a man competitor who has reached the age of 20 but less than 40.
2.2.4 Master (F) is a man competitor who has reached the age of 40.
2.2.5 Grand Master (G) is a man competitor who has reached the age of 50.
New – Veteran (H) is a competitor who has reached the age of 60.

(d) In championships that include both FIN and FOIL racing the divisions shall race
on different days.

(e) The maximum wind speed for FOIL racing shall be 25 knots.

7) Future Championships
The following events were confirmed for 2019:
FW World Championships – Alvor, Portimao, Portugal (easter)
FW FOIL World Championships – Puck, Poland (early July)
FW Masters World Championship – Marathon Bay, Greece (early September)

(a) Event entry fees. Should entry fees be limited to a maximum of 160 euro.
