Transporting Equipment with TAP
Equipment bags will be charged at 100 euro per bag, each way. The maximum weight per bag is 32 kg. Flight bookings must be made through Vendas Directas TER – vendasdirectas.ter@tap.pt When making your booking it is necessary to inform the agency of the number of equipment bags you will be carrying. Flights must be booked and paid in advance – Payment for equipment bags will be made at the airport. The organiser will sponsor each sailor with one free equipment bag , each way.
The organiser will liase with the TAP desk at your departure airport to make payment to TAP for the sponsored equipment bag. It is IMPORTANT to follow the procedure outlined above. *If you find a cheaper TAP flight re contact the official agency above to check out the details and to ensure you get the best flight for both you and your equipment!
