TALLINN STARTED FORMULA WINDSURFING EUROPEAN CUP WITH TECHNO 293, RACEBOARD AND KITE RACES.

NeilPryde Baltic Cup with its 15 years of experience has grown over the years to a significant event, which offers output both for the Baltic as well as the world-class surfers. There are participants who arrived from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, France, Great Britain and Poland, a total of 90 surfers. The weather forecast for opening day wasn`t very promising (only 6-7 knots), still Techno, Race board and Kite Race had chance to show their capabilities.

PRO, Andres Talts commented: “Windsurfing and kitesurf depends on the availability of the wind. Today weather cast gave us only wind from 6 to 7.5 knots, so it let the Techno 293 and Race board drive their races, Formula class must wait and keep their fingers crossed for tomorrow. Fortunately, as the day went on, we got two starts also for Kite Race. Overall, today’s competition seemed to be a little bit nervous, which resulted us to a proper number of false starts. 2 more days are ahead of us, let`s have fun and hope that there will be enough wind to compete with full-time. ”

Competitions will continue up to 30 June.
