The first stage of the Estonian Formula Championship was held on the island of Saaremaa.
Stage 1 of the Estonian Formula Championship was held in Roomassaare, Saaremaa. The high wind weather might have scared away some of the competitors of the B-league, but the best of the A-league were all present. In addition to all the Estonians, there were a few competitors from Latvia and France hoping to gather some ranking points.
On Saturday, there was a very suitable 5-7 m/s wind from the south-west. On Sunday the conditions were similar, but there was a shower of rain and the wind picked up to about 9 m/s. The competitors had to resort to using smaller sails and the organisers managed to do 9 races in total.
