Clear skies over Lake Potrerillos once again greeted the competitors arriving at the event site – a sure sign that the wind would kick in at midday!

With 3 days left for the championship it was decided to schedule 3 races for today. Although race 10 did not go according to plan, only a 4th place finish, Antoine Albeau (FRA192) brought his campaign back on track with 2 wins in races 11 & 12,

The star sailor of the day must be Paulo Dos Reis (BRA3333), with 7 points from 3 races he was by far the most consistant racer amongst the chasing pack hoping for a podium position. Casper Bouman (NED52) had the worst luck – a broken footstrap terminated his challenge in the last race of the day. Ross Williams (GBR83), Pawel Hlavaty (POL11), and reigning champion Steve Allen (AUS0) will all need to put in improved performances in the final 3 races of these championships to step up to the podium on saturday afternoon.

Marta Hlavaty (POL111) sealed her challenge to retain the womens title with 3 wins today.
