A day of mixed fortunes for many, but no complaints today from local hero Gabriel Browne (BRA50) who leads the Fortaleza Grand Prix after 3 races . A first and two seconds was more than enough to clinch top spot on a day when so many of the top ranked racers were having a day to forget !

Also winning races today were Wojtek Brzozowski (POL10) and Wilhelm Schurmann (BRA999) – but..winning titles is all about consistency. Wilhelm showed once again he has that quality ; and Alberto Menegatti (ITA4) must also be content knowing that at last he is proving, with consiastant results, his true potential.

Reigning World Champion Steve Allen (AUS0) will not be so happy tonight – but guess what? he will still be in contention for a podium place on sunday. How many times has Steve come back from a poor start to win a championship ! A fighter to the end -as Wojtek can testify from Santa Pola last september .
