Three races were completed for all fleets and already we can see some close battles emerging between the leading contenders for titles .

For the first year the masters are competing for an official ISAF World title .Leading is Ron Ruiter (NED 1111) with 2 bullets , from Brian Rogild (DEN 173) . Brian has been the most consistant racer with 3 second places . In the chasing pack are LAT13, POL40,EST202 and ITA7.

In the Formula Youth division Robert Baldyga (POL 18) is proving a hardman to beat , and clearly a contender for the title , with 2 firsts and a second to show for his efforts today. But he will not have it all his own way -Dorian van Rijsselberghe NED 8) is hot on his heels (with a first and second place) and you can be sure that there will be lots of support and encouragment for Belgian sailor Pascal Somers (BEL 7)currently in third place. This group has already pulled away from the rest of the fleet -but with only 3 races completed of the 15 race series …..a lot could yet happen !

The formula Junior fleet is clearly demonstrating the depth of talent within the class and assurring a pool of sailors to progrss to the Youth World championships of the future. Clear leader and already favourite for the title Teade de Jong (NED 777) with 2 first and a second. any one of five racers could be competing top 3 places tomorrow -GER 220,GBR323,POL48,DEN 110 , and POL23, with one first and one second place, could easily move up the ranking when the first discard kicks in.

For the first time the Formua Windurfing Class is joined in the festival by the Formula Experience class , who are also hosting their 2006 FE World Championship . The title is contested among the 11.0 m sail division comprising youth and espoir (under 22) sailors. The class is particularly strong in France and the America’s -both North and South. Competitors have travelled from USA and Peru, and Martinique to participate .

The leading sailors are Alexandre Cousin (FRA 75) and Arnaud Jacques (FRA 9).
