The Baltic Cup 2005 in Dranske on Rugia Island has just finished. The regatta lasted from 5th to 8th of May. Over 60 competitors from Germany, Poland, Austria, Finland and other countries came to this small village to take part in the cup. Finally two categories went off – formula and slalom. The freestyle was cancelled at once. Weather conditions were pretty good – no sun and cold, but the wind was pretty stable during the whole event – around 15-20 knotes.
The cup was dominated by Kuba Guzdek (POL-13), who turned out to be absolutely the best. Gucio won nine (!) of eleven races of formula and finished on the top of the podium with 8 points in front of Bernd Flessner (GER-16) with 19 points and his polish friend Leszek Rutkowski (POL-220) with 29 points.
