this is pretty much a boring report but enjoy;) today we arrived at the beach a bit earlier for a 10am skippers meeting to try to catch the early wind. it was looking pretty decent but just as they were calling us out at 10:30 the wind completely shut off just like the previous days. so it was going to be another long day of relaxing on the beach and working on our tans;)

at 3 it got windy just off of the beach. so we started a race but halfway through it got abandoned for lack of wind at the upwind mark. after one more try we were sent back to the beach. then later the wind came up again out in the big channel. so we took a long downwind for a 5pm start. the windward mark was set in the channel in a heavy current and the race committee had to fight with it to keep it in the same spot but even with two anchors they couldnt hold. after an hour the wind completely died and the boats had to spend an hour running around finding everyone and picking them up as the nasty current tried to take us out to sea.

with one day remaining we are going for a 7am skippers meeting tomorrow morning to try and knock out three or four course races in the morning wind. so im hoping as are a few others.
