A small step for Formula, but a big step for Hungary… As you could see in the PWA racing calendar, from 31st of August until 5th of September will be the first PWA competition ever on this part of the world.
We would like to inform you about the competition and invite you too to race together with the best windsurfers of the world.
PROGRAM:
Tuesday 31 August: Amslam day one
Wednesday 1 September: Amslam day two and PWA Registration
Thursday 2 September: PWA Racing World Cup day one
Friday 3 September: PWA Racing World Cup day two
Saturday 4 September: PWA Racing World Cup day three
Sunday 5 September: PWA Racing World Cup day four
AMSLAM:
Two days race before the World Cup for amateurs and practice race for profies. Trophies for pros and ams top three, best woman and espoir, plus 4000 Euro prizes only for ams! The best am get a Neil Pryde RS-4 10,7 formula sail with a X9 530 mast. Formula rules on the race. Entry fee: 40 Euro.
RACING WORLD CUP:
The best course race/Formula windsurfers of the world will fight for the victory and 35.000 Euro prize money. The World Cup is open for all formula competitors! Entry fee: 170 Euro.
CONDITIONS:
Wind: 10-13 knots, wind direction: NW, SW, average water temperature: 21C, average air temperature 24C, no seegrass, the lake is choppy or flat, no current.
PARTY:
On 4th of September, Saturday will be a surf party in Club Aliga, very close to the racing and accomodation area.
VENUE:
Balatonaliga/Club Aliga is on the shouth-east beach of the biggest lake in Europe, Balaton, about 50 minutes drive from the capital Budapest. Rigging area on grass on the beach. Check more info on www.clubaliga.hu . You can find the rigging area on the MAP between the swimming pool and the port.
ACCOMODATION:
You can reserve accomodation in Club Aliga very close to the racing area. Go to the www.clubaliga.hu , choose LANGUAGE, CONTACT, and click to the SALES DEPARTMENT’s mail address. Write to Ms. ANIKO KOCSIS. Subject: NESTEE WORLD CUP. We have limited numbers of beds for competitors for 20 Euro/day including brekfast.
Lots of family and friend activity in Club Aliga, like swimming pool, bowling, mini golf, rappeling.
TRAVELLING:
By car, take the highway M7 and take the exit number 90. You have to cross the first road(No71) and go straight, until you see front of you the gate of Club Aliga.
By airplane you will arrive to Budapest/Ferihegy. Follow the “Center of Budapest” tables and look for the highway M7.
