Press
Conference of the Oeiras Euro Cup 2004


 

Oeiras
will host, for the first time, from the 25th to the 29th of
August, at Sto. Amaro’s Beach, the Windsurfing Euro Cup
2004.


 

The
presentation to the Press of the Oeiras Windsurfing Euro Cup
2004 will take place in an informal ceremony, which will be
held in the VIP tent of the Event, at Sto. Amaro’s Beach,
Oeiras, on the 24th of August, at 6.00 pm.  Event
Programme.


 

The
Press conference will be monitored by Teresa Zambujo –
Mayor of Oeiras City Hall and, simultaneously, President of
the Organizing Committee of the Event.


 

With
the presence of the Captain of the

Port

of
Lisbon

 –
Commander José Castro Centeno, the Presentation of the Event
will be accompanied by Official Entities, Sportive Directors,
Supporters, Competitors and all the Journalists who will have
at their disposal an important panel of personalities who will
provide all the relevant clarifications about the Event.


 

The
Event will have huge national and international press
coverage. Official media partners of the Event, like SportTV,
will make the daily transmission of the best images of the
Event, Correio da Manhã will do reports directly from
the Event site and Sport Life and Men’s Health will do
broadened reports in their post event editions. Best Rock is
the voice of the Championship. 



 

Meteorology
foresees favourable conditions for the realization of good
regattas, being thus gathered all the conjunctures to make
this event reach the success that all expect for.  Event’s
Official Meteorology.

During
the Event, there will be available, to all the national and

broadcast quality, results and press releases provided by our

Registrations had Athletes from 12 countries, like Devon
Boulon – 4th in the FW World Champs in 2003,
Finian Maynard – current holder of the Windsurfing speed
record, Jesper Orth – top Australian competitor, living
in Hawaii, Ross Williams – winner of the Rhodes Euro Cup
and Andrea Cucchi – 3rd in the Euro Cup in
2003.
