Championship Rule 9 requires that the sailors are given a ‘sailor value ‘ which will enable the entry list (if necessary ) to be split into fleets for the first races of the first round . The following has been agreed by the Committee , with sailor vaues based upon the placings at the last World Championship : so-
1st = 10 SV points
2nd/3rd = 9 SV points
4th>6th = 8 SV points
7th>10th = 7 SV points
11th>29th = 6 SV points
21st>30th = 5 SV points
31st>45th = 4 SV points
46th>60th = 3 SV points
61st> = 2 SV points
If a competitor did not compete – SV =1 point.
Splitting competitors with equal points will be based on placings in PWA and Euro cup rankings of 2003.
