I see KJ put up some nice, romantic pics of the site here… Douarnenez is really beautiful town with a very nice harbour and long beaches. We are staying 2 minutes from the event site in old style appartements building. We have arrived here two days ago from lake Garda, but the weather was not permitting any good sailing before today (it was too windy +35 knots and rain). The morning sunshine fixed the spirits, although the offshore wind was not to enjoyable. I tried two of my nitros 9.8 and 8.5, but with the wind speed ranging 10-25 knots it was pretty hard to feel comfortable out there. The locals say this direction is not usuall and hopefully it will switch to the North.

I had good warming up day today, it looks like we are going to have very gusty, shifty wind conditions out here, so it might be very tricky. It reminds me a lot of Sylt, we’ll see what happens..
