Today is the inscription day in Porto Santo. So we see a lot of action in the regatta office. Yesterday the FW World Champion Kevin Pritchard (US-3, Starboard, Gaastra) has arrived as well as “Danish Dynamite” Brian Roegild (DEN-173, Starboard, Gaastra).

Also the Portugese Team is completed with an interesting competitor: Joao Rodrigues (POR-75, Starboard, Neil Pryde) has been IMCO World Champion 1995 and IMCO European Champion in 1996 and 1997. Now he has entered the Formula Windsurfing scene and it will be interesting to see how far his tactical and technical skill will lead him.

The Fanatic Team will arrive with the ferry from Funchal/Madeira together with the equipment of many competitors who arrived by plane from Porto Santo. The plain is too small to carry windsurfing equipment so it has to be transferred seperately.

Yesterday evening I picked up KJ from Poland at the airport who had a long 18-hour-trip from Warsaw via London-Heathrow, London-Gatwick and Funchal to Porto Santo. He is already working as he serves as Official Scorer and Official Measurer of the event.

You can find more information about the regatta and some picture galleries on the official website www.euro-cup.org .
