Hello All,
We would like to invite you and yours to come to the windsurfing event (and
party) of the year. We are hosting the Sea-to-Sky Canadian National
Windsurfing Championships (possible site for the 2010 winter olympics)! Our
goal with the event is to promote the sport of windsurfing with a focus on
entry level and formula racing.
This may be the first chance for a lot of you to see our beautiful part of
the world. There are tons of things to do besides watch some of the best
racing as we are just a stones throw away from Whistler/Blackcomb. Bring yer
hard tails and full suspension bikes, golf clubs and whatever else you use
for fun. We have it all. Ride the north shore with some of our team riders
or hit the downhill park on Blackcomb (we let the tourists use the gondola
to take their bikes up…locals have to hoof it…). If rock climbing is
your thing…(did you fall down and hit your head as a child and not
recover?) then take on the Chief. This mammoth rock face has the best
seats…er handholds…for watching the race from.
And, if you have any energy left over, you can stay an extra week and come
to our PWA Wired event at Nitinat lake for some of the best fresh water
sailing in North America. Bring a tent and sleeping bag for this one…the
only accommodation is in the back of Rob Muldar’s van if he’ll dump all of
his gear on the beach.
