Attention: As there were voices against such a sudden change on Women Cup schedule we decided 
to add one more discard to ranking. Meaning there will be three discards out of seven events 
( excluding World Championships for discard) to keep everyone happy.

The Windsurfing Era PWA Formula Racing World Cup

The Professional Windsurfers Association and Namaxa Agency are proud to announce the first Formula PWA racing event for 2002, “The Windsurfing Era PWA Formula Racing World Cup”. This event will also incorporate the already established Women Cup 2002 for formula racing.

The event will take place in Leba Poland in conjuction with the Polish Boardsailing Association and sponsorship of the biggest Polish mobile phone network Era.

With the Leba event becoming the first Formula PWA racing event for 2002, 
Formula Windsurfing transforms into a PWA discipline.

PWA assured to promote Leba event in the windsurfing media world wide. This is a great opportunity to promote FW women and mens racing and get more credibility around the World. The event will be run according to current FW rules, including prize money divide, women fleet starting first and silver fleet system. Women will get 30% discount on the entry fee, as at every Windsurfing Era Cup.

This event in Leba will now count towards FW 2002 Women Cup ranking instead of cancelled event in Holland (28Aug- 1 Sept) as it will one of the most prestige event of the year. The presence of the high number of women will greatly help promote Women’s Windsurfing around the World.

We strongly encourage all FW women sailors to join the event at this last minute. You will find all the useful information in the Notice of Race below and on the websites.
