SMS from Matthias: The wind stayed under limit the whole afternoon. Racing was postponed to 16:00, 16:30 and finally to 17:00. Now the racing is cancelled for the first day. AP over A is raised and we all hope for better wind tomorrow.

…For over one hour the wind has been constantly above 7 knots, mostly between 8 and 9 knots with gust up to almost 11 knots. At 13:45 the course wes set and the competitors were called out. Unfortunalely the wind dropped down again so that a starting attempt wasn’t possible. At 14:15 AP was raised again and we are now waiting for the wind to pick up again…

First competition day in Lisbon. The forecast looks very promising with a deep pressure system on the Atlantic Ocean that should provide some western wind this afternoon and the following days. At the moment it is still calm but the palms are starting to move and the competitors are preparing their gear. The Skippersmeeting will be at 11:00 and the first possible start is at 12:00.
The race committee is planning to lay out a box course and start the two fleets women and men seperately. First the women on the outer loop and then the men on the inner loop. I will send you the course diagramms as soon as they are on the Notice Board.
