Lisbon Flashlight:
I landed in Lisbon airport at 13:20 welcomed by perfect sunshine and a soft summer breeze. Unfortunatly the airline left my bagage somewhere on the trip. So I am still waiting for that. The transfair to the Cascais Marina where the event takes place worked out perfect. We were awaited at the airport with cars and then driven directly to the event site.
The Club Overpower has prepared everything perfect. A fine regatta office with free internet access for all the competitors. A lunch station where the competitors get free drinks and lunch packages. Free coffee and ice cream. Tents for the equipment. So everything is ready for a great event.
Some of the favorites are already here like Sam Ireland (KC-1, Starboard, North Sails) and Gonzalo Costa Hoevel (ARG-3, Starboard, Neil Pryde). And I just met the current FW World Champion Kevin Pritchard (US-10, BIC, Gaastra) who will also enter the Euro-Cup series with this event. So the chances for Gaastra are rising.
