“AP” over “A” – No more racing today at 17:30!
Although the wind has been perfect the whole day with windspeeds between 10 and 15 knots we haven’t been able to go out for a single race. It would have been too dangerous to go on the water as the maximum sight was sometimes below 50m.
At 18:30 the fog finally vanishes and gives an expectation how nice the venue in Travemünde can be. It’s getting warmer and sunny and the people are coming to the beach for the After-Race-Party. The competitors are going out for dinner in the nice restaurants in Travemünde or preparing for the Opening Party tonight.
But they will not go out for too long as the forecast for tomorrow looks very promising. 10 knots from east picking up to 15 or even 20 knots during the day. The race committee will try to do as many races as possible as the first day was lost due to the fog.

The Skippersmeeting is set for 9:15 with the first possible start at 10:00.

15:00We are a little bit frustrated. Since 12:00 the wind is blowing consistently but unfortunately we are not able to start. It’s too foggy! It would be too dangerous to go on the water as there are only about 100m sight. The start is always postponed for 30mins or one hour in the hope that the sun or the wind would cast away the fog.
Additionally it is still too cold to enjoy the beautiful beach or the event highlights like beachvolleyball, bungee jumping or the other activities. But we keep our fingers crossed.
Everybody is already looking forward to the Opening party tonight. The organizers have prepared a giant party zone in a swimming pool! We will keep you updated!
