Gardony, Lake Velence, Hungary:
20-21.April 2002
The lake is about 40 kms from Budapest. No gras in the lake. The bottom is sand, the beach is grassy.
Windy place at that time of the year, usualy 14-26 knots, 80% North, North-west wind. The racing area on the beach is on south coast, the start use to be 200 meters far from the beach. The North-west – South-east distance is not really big, so flat water in strong wind too.
The Hotels in the racing area, about 20 meters from the water. They have very friendly prices. Easy to sleep at Budapest too. There is highway from Budapest to Lake Velence.
Accomadation:
HOTEL&APARTMENTS VARSA (Gárdony, on the beach, at racing area)
One person in one room/one night 28 Euro
Two person in one room /one night 18 Euro (9 Euro/person)
Three person in one room /one night 16 Euro (5,4 Euro/person)
There can be possibility to find roommates, if it is necessary. The prices are include all the taxes.
